Saturday evening musings...

Things have been a little quiet lately...I was working on a custom order, but that shipped off the other day. I didn't want to post too many pictures of it because I think the recipient should get the first look!!  After that was sent off, I had some Christmas activities happening this week, and of course, I participated in those events! All that means that I'm starting fresh in the sewing room! Next up is definitely a bag or two. I'm thinking a bigger bag (not a Wristlet or Clutch), but I'm not sure what style. In looking through my different options, I find that I gravitate to the bags that are a little different. I don't want to make something that can just be found in any old store. If that's the case, you can just go to the store and buy it!  :)   

I could make something like the one I made for me earlier this fall.  This is my every day bag so I use it all the time and is the one that I usually carry.  There are a couple of tweaks that I will make to those going forward, but I really like the style.  I love a lot of things about this bag, but my two favorites are the interesting straps (made of three parts joined by a metal circle), and the pockets on the outside side of the bag. 

Besides that option, there are a couple of other designs that I want to try out.  One has almost a full wallet as part of the bag (I can see some real utility in that!).  The other has straps so that you can wear the bag as a shoulder bag...or as a backpack...and that one has a really interesting braided strap that I want to try.   I also have a bag that has an amazing vintage vibe to it...and every version I've seen of that one has been stunning!
